A Loan Of $300 Helped To Buy Additional Sacks Of Charcoal To Sell

Dr. Joseph Johnson (Welfont Joe Johnson)helped fund a loan for Rosana, an entrepreneur from thePhilippines.
Here is Rosana’s Story
Deep in the heart of the municipality of Cauayan in the province of Negros Occidental in the Philippines, you will find Rosana busy in the market selling her charcoal. As a married mother of six children, she has to work exceptionally hard to take care of her children. She has been doing this through her charcoal business, though she also gets an additional income buying and selling firewood.
She has been sustaining her business through her own efforts, and with help from theNegros Women for Tomorrow Foundation. She has repaid all 20 of the loans she has received in the past, and is now asking for another one to further help grow her business. She hopes that she will be able to save enough money to send her children to college in the future.
Through Kiva’s lending platform and the NWTFI was able to provide Rosana with full funding for her loan, giving her the chance to move one step closer to realizing her dreams. Thousands of people around the globe are having their lives transformed in much the same way thanks to organizations like these.
Anyone can join the Kiva platform, and if you would like to impact someone’s life you should too by going to www.kiva.org. The website is host to a large database of entrepreneurs who are in need of funding.
